Chamonix to Zermatt Haute Route • April 11-18, 2011

Our second Chamonix to Zermatt Haute Route this year brought together a great group from far-flung places. The week included a mix of good and bad weather, which led to some really fine skiing conditions.

The crew included, Byron Grant, Miguel Caracoche, Jeff and Shelley Hanks, Brad Ritzel, Kimber Keagle, Gerrit Saylor, with Kathy and Mark.

For more photos (we only have 6 or 7 here) see our entry in our recent trips page.

Miguel, Shelly, Jeff and Byron seem quite interested in dinner.

Skinning up to the Col du Chardonnet on Day 1 of the tour.

Several days later, on the section between the Dix and Vignettes hut, we pass under the impressive north face of Mont Blanc de Cheilon.

Good snow below the Vignettes hut.

On our last day skiing into Zermatt, we head up towards the Col du Mont Brulé.

Skiing down the Stockji Glacier.

With an extra day in Zermatt we skied up (and down) the Cima di Jazzi.

Again, see more photos from this trip  on our web site’s Recent Trips Gallery.

As always, you two have fantastic photos! We loved the trip. Thank you for your expert guide service and excellent company!

P.S. Shelly may look frightened by the food in the top image, but we all dug in without hesitation.
